What if a €1 sponge had a €1 million marketing budget?

Okay, maybe not €1 million… Maybe just AI and an unhealthy amount of art direction.

The sponge itself is… ugly.
The packaging is… not exactly luxury.
The price tag is… aggressively affordable.

But that’s what made it fun.

I wanted to take the most ordinary, slightly tragic household product and treat it like it was launching at fashion week.

Because sometimes the challenge isn’t making a beautiful product look expensive.

It’s making an ugly one look like it has a PR team.

POV: you spent €1 on a sponge and decided it needed a full luxury campaign.

Was the product beautiful to begin with?

No.

Did that stop me?

Also no.

I wanted to see how far you can push art direction when the product itself is… let’s say… not exactly giving editorial.

So I gave it:
— cinematic lighting
— expensive-looking compositions
— beauty-shot close-ups
— and the delusion of a much bigger budget

Because if you can make a sponge look like it belongs on a luxury shelf, imagine what you can do with an actual beautiful product.🧽

Pistachio gelato, but make it skincare. 🍦

A full body mist campaign built entirely with AI — the gelato, the pistachios, the light, all of it. No food stylist melting under hot lights, no reshoot when the scoop collapses.

A bottle of nail polish can be a lot more than just a bottle.

I started with the colour, the finish and the little details that make the product feel tactile — then built the rest of the world around it.

Glossy surfaces. Deep colour. Reflections. Skin. Light hitting the polish just right.

Using references, art direction and AI, I explored what a full beauty campaign could look like without a studio, samples or a production team behind it.

Just an idea, a product and a slightly unreasonable amount of “what if I tried this?” 🫢

No studio, no samples couriered over, no production crew, no ten-day turnaround. The starting point was simple — the bottle and its packaging. Frosted glass, holographic type, three scents that already do half the work for you.

From there I built a visual direction around it using references, art direction and AI: hero product shots, colour-blocked compositions, glass and condensation close-ups, soft directional light — different setups and lighting that all live inside one campaign world.

And that’s really the point of this series.
It’s not about waiting for someone to give me permission to make interesting work.
It’s about showing what I would do if the brief landed on my desk tomorrow.

So until the brands start hiring me, I’ll keep making the campaigns anyway. 🫢

The starting point was simple — the bottle and its packaging. Frosted glass, holographic type, three scents that already do half the work for you.

From there I built a visual direction around it using references, art direction and AI: hero product shots, colour-blocked compositions, glass and condensation close-ups, soft directional light — different setups that all live inside one campaign world.

This time, I literally opened my freezer, grabbed a tub of Ben & Jerry’s, and decided to make a campaign for it.

No brief, no client, no production budget. Just me, a tub of ice cream, and the question: what would I do with this if Ben & Jerry’s actually hired me? 👀

I started to playing around with art direction, references and AI to create different product shots, food photography, close-ups, lifestyle moments, lighting setups and compositions that could all feel like part of the same campaign. ✨

So until the brands start hiring me, I’ll just keep making the campaigns anyway. 🫢

POV: you need eight hero shots by Friday and the food stylist is booked till November.

Blue box, checked tablecloth, low golden light, cheese caught mid-fall. Built in a day. Nothing about the product changed — only the world around it did.

POV: you walked into a supermarket with zero budget for a shoot 🍝

This started with something extremely simple: a pasta package and an idea.
No studio booking. No location scouting. No prop sourcing. No lighting setup. No production crew.✨

I wanted to see how far I could take one everyday product using AI as part of the creative process — not just generating random pretty images, but actually trying to build a visual language around an existing piece of packaging.

I photographed/referenced the product, kept the packaging as the hero, and then started experimenting with different environments, compositions, lighting situations and food-photography references.

Some visuals are clean and graphic. Some feel like editorial food photography. Others are intentionally imperfect, cropped, close-up or slightly chaotic — because the goal wasn’t to make everything feel AI perfect. It was to make it feel like an actual campaign someone could have photographed. 👀

POV: zero budget for a shoot, so I went to the supermarket instead.

Found the can, took it home, built the whole world around it — the field, the light, the linen, the afternoon. Blue tiles, oat latte, no cow required… so obviously I put one in the frame anyway. Nothing about the product changed. The packaging already told the story, someone just had to shoot it.

Zero studio. Zero crew. One can.
